High Impact has a phenomenal track record of providing excellent service to its customers. Our Core Values, tried and true since the company’s early days, are evident in everything we do:
People Matter | Strive for Excellence | Take Ownership | Selfless Service
These values have remained constant amidst massive changes in Walmart and the retail industry at large. The company structure, however, has ridden the waves accordingly. Since the company’s inception in 2007 (check out Our Story on our website for a deeper dive), business units have expanded and evolved. A scrappy team of analysts has become a scrappy team of salespeople, analysts, digital experts, category leaders, and technology developers.
One of the significant changes in the industry that has impacted every supplier in Walmart has been the rollout of Walmart’s new data platform. It has given suppliers unprecedented visibility into their performance and supply chain data allowing them to better monitor and improve their performance, expand distribution, and problem solve through leveraging their data with analytics.
On the technology side, High Impact has developed a tool to meet these changes, helping suppliers leverage their oceans of data that Walmart has provided in clean, dynamic, action driving, and dare I say aesthetically pleasing dashboards: the PHAROS Retail Analytics Suite. As our internal analysts and supplier clients can attest, PHAROS succinctly presents everything from KPIs, to action items, to easily downloadable data, all of which have successfully assisted in the pursuits listed above. The base PHAROS Model includes (but is not limited to):
There are two roads that diverge (in a yellow wood - Robert Frost) when a tool like this is equipped as an offering from a company. One road is to productize and offer purely as a tool for purchase. There is absolutely merit to this road. Providing tools for suppliers to leverage and use as they please while minimizing internal man-hours is absolutely an efficient and profitable road for all parties involved, and many have provided value in this way.
However, this road does not align with our Core Values, or at least not quite. The second road, the road less traveled, is the road we will go down.
PHAROS is not a High Impact product. It is a High Impact service.
When suppliers sign up for the PHAROS offering, they will not just receive the PHAROS Reporting Analytics Suite, but the team behind the offering. The developers and analysts that have put time and energy into the development of the tool remain at the supplier’s disposal, offering additional analytical insights and customized development to help tailor PHAROS to fit their needs. Of course, if our base models fit the needs of a supplier (which many have found to be the case) then we are thrilled. However…
If a supplier decides they are not going to use a particular dashboard, it is dropped (saves from overcrowding). If a supplier would like to add a business hierarchy to the suite that will help them slice and dice visuals and data within groupings they are accustomed to, it is added. If a supplier would like the data presented in a different way, we’ll change the dashboards to fit the desired presentation. If a supplier has an idea for a dashboard that they would like to collaborate on, we’re here to collaborate and build something new.
High Impact is ready to take the road less traveled because it makes all the difference, and it’s a road that we know well. We are here to Selflessly Serve, Take Ownership, Strive for Excellence, and show suppliers that they Matter.
If you are a supplier that would like to journey down that road with us, please reach out and see how PHAROS, a High Impact Service, could help you leverage your data for your business.
